Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani seems to be running - not jogging - to what he knows best after a 2-week long skirmish with former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney over Rudy’s ’sanctuary city’ policies while he was Mayor of NYC: brazen, political exploitation of the attacks of 9/11 with chest-thumping, self-adulating bravado as he seeks to exploit media attention toward his ‘heroism’ on that infamous day.
Today the Giuliani campaign announced a national first responders coalition, headed by Howard Safir, the former fire and police commissioner in New York.
Nice try, Mr. Giuliani, but it seems more and more obvious that the first responders on 9/11 do NOT like you and what you have done as Mayor regarding emergency preparedness, among other issues.
Groups such as the 9/11 Firefighters & Families for Truth, WTC Families for Proper Burial, 9/11 Parents & Families of Firefighters & WTC Victims, and September 11th Advocates said Giuliani has “perpetuated his ‘grand illusion’ of hero rather than account for the failures.”
Rudy had no real answer to his mayoral policies regarding illegals. He just wants to change the subject. Rudy can run, but he can't hide for long.
