Fred Thompson, Mitt Romney Tangle in Web Site Flap

Click here for the complete story. It appears Fred and his team have gotten steamed over virtually nothing.

A spokesman for Republican Mitt Romney said Tuesday that the presidential candidate did not approve the creation of a Web site severely critical of the personal and political life of his GOP rival, Fred Thompson.

The Web site, PhoneyFred.org, was created by Wesley Donehue, a business associate of Warren Tompkins, a South Carolina political operative on the Romneypayroll and the candidate's top adviser in the early voting state.

The Web site criticized Thompson's conservative credentials. It also labeled him Fancy Fred, Five O'Clock Fred, Flip-Flop Fred, McCain Fred, Moron Fred, Playboy Fred, Pro-Choice Fred, Son-of-a-Fred and Trial Lawyer Fred.

The site may have been severely critical--too critical for a Mitt-endorsed site. However, I'm fairly confident it was both enlightening and entertaining. Go here to see what it looked like.

Bottom line is, Fred ain't a conservative. Or at the very least he was a bad one. He's re-invented himself into something he never was.

*** Update: If anything is inaccurate on the site in question, in no way do I endorse that. I only endorse getting the word out on Fred and the others. I am not too particular about the format.

However, Mitt can and will win on his merits. Nobody directly or indirectly involved with his team needs to mislead. Just present that facts and the candidate. They will do the convincing. Fred will fail because of who he is and how he directs/manages others.
