More on Dobson

Laura Ingram asked Dobson about Mitt when Dobson was on her program the other day. (Dobson runs the Family Research Counsel, which sends weekly newsletters to millions of Americans.)

Transcript from audio:

Laura Ingraham: Any thoughts on Romney? He's now winning in Iowa and looks like he's winning in some polls in New Hampshire.

Dr. Dobson: Since I talked to you, I've spent an hour and a half with him and I liked him. He's very presidential and he's got the right answers to many, many things. I haven't made a decision yet, but let's just say he's still on the list.

So who else is on Dobson's list? He's already ruled out Rudy, Fred & McCain. I'm sure he likes Huckabee. He may like Hunter or Brownback. But in the end he's going to choose a viable candidate. Dobson's powder is dry, but it looks almost certainly reserved for Mitt (unless Huckabee can show a lot more viability). Dobson endorsing Mitt makes sense after all. Mitt is clearly the family friendly candidate. Receiving an endorsement from Dobson would be enormously helpful, especially in South Carolina and Florida.

**Correction** Dobson said this on Ingram's program back in May, not the other day. However, he has done nothing to suggest his view of Mitt has changed.

correction:

you may have found this the other day, but the interview actually took place back in May. But as far as I know, he hasn't said anything since than to contradict that he is still seriously considering Mitt (as well as huckabee, I assume).
