Huck is the master at "not" saying things. Either by changing the subject, or by intimating something bad about someone without actually saying it, and then feigning ignorant. Sort of like "If I went around talking about how horrible this person is... hey, I never said he was horrible..." or "Doesn't he beat his wife? ... Hey, I never said he beat his wife... I asked if he did... how can a question ever be an accusation?"
Very slick. We can only hope that people are too smart to listen to his cheap shots.
