I have a favor to ask of the readers of the blog, the last time I'll ask this year. I'm saying that on New Year's Eve (how convenient!) I realize.
Seeing that ad last night on TV in Iowa reminded me, you can sponsor the airing of Mitt Romney's ads in Iowa with your donation of just $80.
This is the last day you can donate and get it to count for the 2007 campaign year. The fundraising totals that get announced in early January are a big deal. This "money primary" will be an election factor that could be as big or bigger than what happens in Iowa and New Hampshire. If candidates haven't connected with donors, even if they win the two early contests, voters have to take into account if the campaign can go the distance. February 5, when NY holds it's primary with 20 other states, is going to take tens of millions of dollars for any campaign to be able to compete in all of them.
Perhaps more important than the dollars raised is the number of donors who've contributed. Even $10, $25, $50, every donation helps. And when the Romney campaign reports that it has raised the most money from the most individuals, you can say you were a part of it! Please give what you can, today. Here's another link you can use to donate online.
