Slow But Sure: Mitt Climbs in National Polls, Huck to Stumble Soon

A CBS News poll has the story here.

Of course, we know that Clemency Huck has rocketed in the polls (for now). The same thing happened to Fred Dalton Thompson ~2 months ago.

Don't worry, however. Mike will stumble in the near future. His record is simply too horrific to sustain his "surge."

While Giuliani and Huckabee led among GOP primary voters, Mitt Romney - seen as Huckabee's top rival for the support of Christian conservative voters - also saw his support increase slightly, from 12 percent in October to 16 percent now.

Both John McCain and Fred Thompson have seen their support crumble. Thompson has seen the most dramatic drop, falling from 21 percent in October - good enough for second place - to 7 percent now, tying him with McCain for fourth place.

Fred is toast, as we predicted a few months back. It's obvious, Thompson has lost most of his folks to Huck.
We told the Thompson fans that Fred was too lazy, had no real accomplishments, etc. They didn't believe us until Huck showed up.

Good news is that Mitt has gained, despite Huck's rise. In other words, Mitt's getting new folks. He'll continue the addition as Americans are introduced to Huck's paper-thin resume.
Huck will stumble as his just-awful record is increasingly publicized. Huck will begin to only see subtraction.

The less you know about Huckabee, the more you like him.
