Mitt Stiffs The Media

By INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY

Election '08: The big losers in Michigan's GOP primary were those in the media who'd written off the business-savvy Mitt Romney. His win makes this a wide-open race that'll focus more on who can boost the economy....

The reasons are clear why the dominant media would want to see Romney go away. He is "absolutely" committed to victory in Iraq, supporting Bush's surge strategy even before it was clearly working. He also tried unsuccessfully to cut income taxes as Massachusetts governor, wants the Bush tax cuts made permanent and has successfully courted a lot of the GOP's religious conservatives.

But there's a more deep-seated reason for those who write and present the news to oppose Romney. Unlike any other candidate in either party, Romney has achieved staggering successes in the real world of the private economy.

I couldn't agree more.
