Tonight I took my family and relatives to the big caucus-eve rally in West Des Moines. This was the first time most of them had ever been to this kind of political rally. They had a great time. The whole Romney family was there along with a number of other high profile special guests. Mitt delivered his message tonight perfectly and got the whole crowd fired up to go to the caucuses and bring along their friends to vote for him.
Turnout was huge. I won't try to guess at a number there but we were really packing them in at the Hy-Vee Convention Center. I took some pictures but will have to get better at this blogging thing so I can figure out how to get them online.
Probably the top of the night for me was when Mitt came over to shake hands with my oldest son. Gotta say, that moment just made my whole trip.
