What's Matt Drudge Saying Here?

McCain is on the Left, Romney is on the Right.

This is Drudge Report at 11PM tonight. Notice that Romney is on the Right. He's been in that position today since he won the closed Republican-only caucus in Nevada. McCain is on the left, after winning the South Carolina Republican open primary thanks to non-Republican voters. And by SC exit polls, it was those left trending voters that gave him the win.

Hillary is in the middle. Matt Drudge is doing subtle foreshadowing of the way the rest of the primary will go.

Who's going to be the candidate who can best take her on? A maverick who's bucked the principals his party has advocated over and over during his political career? A guy who could not be counted on to promote conservative positions when it counted most (like appointing conservative USSC justices, tax cuts, and immigration reform)? Another Washington insider? The guy who's to Hillary's "left"?

Look, I'm not saying McCain is more liberal than Hillary. I'm just seeing this looking thru the eyes of the conservative movement as Drudge is presenting it. McCain is simply more liberal than Romney, and Republicans are not going to beat Hillary running someone who's picked up their nomination delegates from liberals. All those folks will abandon him in November for the Democrat.

For us to win, for our country to win, we need pick the guy to Hillary's right. We need to pick Mitt Romney.
