Caller: You had the three legs of the party, defense, less government, life and social issues. When you do not have a candidate meets all the requirements, you have to prioritize. I put country first. Romney had everything except the right's religion, and when all the illegals become illegal, you could thank the religious right. I believe the electorate gets what they deserve. All of us pay the price for this stupidity. My question to you, is there some way that Romney could be pulled back in the race, say as an independent? Because if he was in a presidential debate, he would run circles around the other candidates. The country needs you. I look forward to your comments.

I guess you meant when all the illegals become legal then we'll have asked for it. I agree with you. We seem to like to suffer the consequences of shortsightedness then finally we get our act together and fix it when we're on the brink.
I realize that if Romney runs as an independent, then he will hand the race to the Democrats. But what about a brokered convention, where there is two or three votes. Couldn't he get the nomination that way?
Also, if not that, what about McCain choosing him as VP. . . .many Republicans who dislike McCain would hold their nose and vote for him if Romney were his VP.
There's a website trying to unite people behind a McCain/Romney ticket. www.unitethegop.com Check it out.
