More of the same, really...

Mitt Romney indicated today that he would accept an offer to be John McCain's running mate, but isn't counting on it.

"I think any Republican who was offered the chance to be VP would certainly serve their party and serve our nominee and do so proudly," Romney told KOA radio in Denver.

He added, however, "I think there's some great people he could choose from and I expect he will do that. But I don't plan on being part of the ticket."

In the vice presidential speculation, the former Massachusetts governor has been mentioned often, particularly since McCain has had kind words for his former rival.

Well, it's not like he can say "I know he's going to pick me..." so saying he "doesn't plan" on being on the ticket just means we should all keep the pressure on McCain to pick Romney!
