A few stories I read tonight:

#1: View From Denver: A Party In Pieces

The idea of Democrats emerging unified from their acrimonious convention is laughable. If the GOP convention had the Clinton/Obama feud and John Edwards scandal, it would be declared a catastrophe....

And what real effect did her calls for unity have? "Yes, I'm still bitter," California Hillary delegate Jerry Straughan, skeptical that former first lady really meant what she said, told the Washington Post. "Obamination Scares the Hell Out of Me" and "Nobama" buttons were prevalent....

Democrats in the Mile High City are divided by sex and by race. Investor's Business Daily observed a visible racial segregation among delegates when it came to hanging out together, a balkanization or clannishness fueled by very strong identity politics....

Racial segregation? Among democrats? That is not a hallmark of a unified party. Aren't we, the Republicans, the folks who were racist & intolerant?

Feminists demanding a female president are fuming against race-obsessed radicals eager for a black president from the leftist cliques of the South Side of Chicago.

Maybe the Democratic Party's longtime recipe of catering to this interest group and that has finally reached the boiling point.

These Dems are always doing what they love to accuse their opponents of.

#2: Dem Convention Bounce Goes To... McCain?

By LAWRENCE KUDLOW

There's no Obama-Biden bounce, according to the latest tracking polls. In fact, as of Wednesday morning, Scott Rasmussen reports a 47-46 one-point lead for McCain.

Gallup has the race even and indicates that conservative Democrats — including married women — are peeling away from Obama-Biden....

I love self-destructive dems.

Great articles... thanks for posting that.

While I agree with some of those assessments and the observations are interesting, I don't think the GOP is all together either.

Bringing Romney aboard on the ticket will go a long way to rallying the party.
