Readers' Opinions, USA Today:
Romney for 'car czar'
Wayne H. Bostic - San Diego
Critical to the Detroit auto bailout plan is a strong "car czar" who would oversee the Big Three and the labor unions. Mitt Romney has the experience and expertise to perform this vital role effectively.
Romney organized and turned around the 2002 Winter Olympics that had been tarnished by scandal. As governor or Massachusetts, he got the state's economy moving and transformed deficits into surpluses. These achievements are included in his strong executive management résumé. Romney's father revived American Motors.
Mitt Romney is a known element and the ideal choice for a car czar.
