Mr. Romney returns to Washington

Ben Smith, Politico:
Mitt Romney returns to Washington this week for a series of public and private appearances sure to fuel speculation that he remains interested in another presidential bid.

Romney will hold a $1,000 per-person breakfast Friday for the PAC he created after losing the GOP nomination last year. For $5,000, donors can attend a pre-breakfast roundtable with the former Massachusetts governor.

He’ll be joined there by group of familiar faces, including some of the top backers of his presidential bid.

Hosts include GOP power-lawyer and former Romney counsel Ben Ginsberg, prominent Republican lobbyists Ron Kaufman, Jack Gerard and Drew Maloney as well as MyManMitt.com co-founder Justin Hart.

The get-together comes on the same day Romney is to address CPAC, the annual Washington conclave of conservative activists, where he is to be introduced by veteran Republican David Keene.
