First, a note and a thought: We have been highlighting what I’ve been calling "future leaders" of the GOP on this show; but I think I want to change the vernacular a bit: these guests (the Governors, the Congressmen, the Senators we’ve had on) are actually current leaders of the GOP. We don’t have one leader, we have a lot of leaders, each with different expertise, each with different skill sets. This may very well be very much like 1977, except better. Think about our possible presidential candidates in 2012, there are a lot of plausible ones, from Mitt Romney to Newt Gingrich, from the Governors we’ve had on like Jon Huntsman to Rick Perry to Haley Barbour to Mark Sanford to Tim Pawlenty. There’s Jeb Bush. There are Congressmen and Senators too many to mention without neglecting some, but think of Paul Ryan, Mike Pence, Michelle Bachmann, Jon Kyl, Tom Coburn, Richard Burr, and plenty of others we’ve had on.>> read all of Bill Bennett's thoughts @ Nota BennettThey all are believers in lower marginal tax rates, they are pro-growth, they are pro-life, they are military hawks, they are, in sum, Ronald Reagan conservatives.
...all of our team are much more dynamic, much more pro-growth, combative, anti-tax, pro-defense, and socially conservative. They are current leaders and we should be optimistic about that.
Well, with only 1,340 days until the 2012 election, I must say,
I do like the button pictured on Political Junkie's website...
