Profile of Mitt in Townhall Magazine

via Townhall:

In the May issue of Townhall Magazine:
In “GOP Power Broker,” Dwayne Horner takes a look at Mitt Romney’s moves that indicate the former Massachusetts governor might just be looking to make a move. With a powerful PAC, a constant media presence and an impressive business background, Romney has been making his presence felt since the 2008 elections and could shoot to fill the Republican Party’s leadership vacuum...

Compared with Palin or Newt, and the majority if not all Republicans in the mix, Mitt Romney has nothing to worry about in the 'baggage' area. He has a solid conservative record as Governor and as a candidate. No ethic violations. Successful PAC. Wonderful family. I am proud of his record and I hope he runs again for President.

Baggage? I don't know of any baggage. Mitt has moved to a 55-36 favorable/unfavorable in the latest Rasmussen poll. He's the best candidate we've had available to us in the last 100 years. The only question is, do we have enough sense to vote him in?

I agree with both of you on the "baggage" claim. I have not read the article. I only posted the write-up as provided by Townhall.com. I don't know what examples the writer provides as baggage, but, I am confident Romney's record is viewed favorably by the majority of the base.

This political game is tough. Somehow we've got to befriend or marginalize Huckabee (even though he's largely done it to himself already) I think he has a religious jihad going on against Mormons. Not cool.

The Ron Paul people have energy but lack direction and focus. We need to grab them too.

Lastly there is Palin, very nice lady, nothing against her, but a bit of a light weight for the time being.

It appears Mitt has been working with Jindal and Hannity closely. I think I'll blog this as a status report.

I now realize how many jealous and threatened children we have in the GOP after reading one hit piece after the next aimed at the front-runner Mitt Romney and the NCNA. Now we really know that Mitt is the guy to beat! My goodness. Have you ever seen so many whiners before? Mitt 2012.
