I've been volunteering making calls for Scott Brown and wanted to give a short report. If you aren't part of the volunteer team you are missing out on something amazing!
At this point we are calling the voters that have been identified by the campaign as likely supporters, and trying to make sure they were able to cast their vote or remind them to do so before the polls close at 8PM.
I have made calls for campaigns for years and NEVER EVER have I gotten the kind of response I am getting from these voters. Especially on the final day, most people are have been so tired of being called over the course of the final days that they just don't want to get another call. But not today! These voters are so excited to talk to other Brown supporters and say they went, and their wife/husband went, and they brought their friends, and they can't wait to see Scott Brown serving in US Senate!
This is unprecedented enthusiasm, and it's setting the stage for a great year for getting some common sense back into Congress. At this point there's no reason to doubt that Obama will lose both the House and the Senate in the midterms, especially if they are really planning to cram down a bunch of legislation that the country flat out opposes.
Also... I've been wanting to do a little write up on how deeply involved Mitt Romney is in this campaign, and thought it was best to write after the results are in and counted but then there was a story in Politico and another in The Daily Beast. So now it looks like I'll just be adding to these stories a few of my own observations, later this week.
Back to volunteering! Can't wait to see the results tonight, this campaign has been awesome!

Last night’s victory was a testament to what can be accomplished when citizen activists come together for a common cause. Many thanks to everyone who made phone calls for Scott. You helped to mobilize and encourage the voters. Van pools were started as a result of the calls, people brought their elderly relatives to the polls, who otherwise might not have gotten there
Let’s remember the lessons learned from the historic Massachusetts special election of Jan. 2010. We can apply the same techniques to continue our success in Nov. of 2010 and 2012.
