Team Romney Responds to Team Obama's Charge Libya Only An Issue Because of Romney & Ryan

On CNN this afternoon, Obama Deputy Campaign Manager Stephanie Cutter said that the only reason the terrorist strike in Libya is an issue is because of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.

Andrea Saul, Romney Campaign National Press Secretary, response to the Obama campaign’s comments on the terrorist attack in Libya:

“President Obama’s campaign today said that Libya is only an issue because of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. They’re wrong. The reason it is an issue is because, for the first time since 1979, an American ambassador was assassinated and President Obama’s foreign policy strategy of ‘leading from behind’ is failing. This administration has continually misled the American public about what happened in Benghazi and, rather than be truthful about the sequence of events, has instead skirted responsibility and dodged questions. The American people deserve straight answers about this tragic event and a president who can provide leadership, not excuses.”

I wonder what she thinks about Stephanie Cutter's comments:

via CNN:
Sean Smith was one of four Americans killed during the attack on U.S. buildings in Benghazi, Libya last month. He was killed in the consulate compound. Anderson spoke to his mother, Pat Smith, who says she "begged" for answers about the assault and how Sean died. She says she hasn’t received any details, which were promised to her by Pres. Obama, Secretary of State Clinton, and Vice President Biden.
