The Romney Vision: A Record of Promoting Abstinence, Not Sex Education for Kindergarteners

You may have heard about Sen. Barack Obama's recent statements relative to sex education. Here is a portion:

"Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., told Planned Parenthood Tuesday that sex education for kindergarteners, as long as it is 'age-appropriate,' is 'the right thing to do.' ...

Mitt's ideas are very different:


"We teach sex education, but there's no portion of sex education which talks about the advantages of waiting... We're saying let's provide an opportunity for parents and school districts to add abstinence to the curriculum."

Sorry to say, I'm hard-pressed to think of any other major candidate who's done anything on this issue--or, come to think of it, one who could even talk credibly about it.

Update: Mitt took some criticism for not spelling out specifics in his "Ocean" ad. Well, the provided specifics yesterday. That's called "Romney" efficiency. Better get used to it.
