I recently returned from a 16-month stint in Iraq as a soldier in the US Army. I currently have many close friends and family members who are still serving or preparing to serve there.
Naturally, the Iraq issue is important to me as it is a forefront issue for most Americans. This is a very critical time for our country and for the world. There are so many important issues at stake here. Energy, Environment, Security, Diplomacy, Human Rights, and many more.
I have been especially attuned to these issues for the past few years especially regarding the countries of the Middle East, Asia, and the United States. I have also been especially attuned to the campaigns and presidential aspirations of those from all parties, backgrounds, and ideologies. But more importantly, I have been very aware and intently interested in the concerns, feelings and impressions of everyone that I have dealt with in my various labors over the past few years.
And from all that I have seen, heard, and observed, one thing is clear to me after close scrutiny of all the options: The only serious presidential candidate from any party who even has a clear idea of what is going on in the world right now is Mitt Romney. He is by default then the only one with a chance of being able to understand the problems we face, and then again the only one with a chance of being able to provide solutions to those challenges.
The question that needs now to be asked is this: Since Mitt Romney is the only candidate who really understands the world issues, is he able to understand the problems and offer reasonable solutions?
The answer is again very apparent. He is one of the greatest managers and problem solvers of our time. He proves it with everything that he becomes involved in.
I have known and spoken to Americans all over the country. Mitt Romney alone has answers to their concerns.
I have spoken to, lived and worked with Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines. Mitt Romney has answers for their concerns.
I have spoken to, lived and worked with Iraqis, Iranians, Saudis, Jordanians, Israelis, Palestinians, Egyptians, Sunni's, Shiites, Kurds, Muslims, Christians, Jews, and more. Mitt Romney knows and has answers for their concerns.
I have traveled around the world and have known people from every continent. I've known very poor people, very rich people, very successful and motivated people as well as many who simply want to be able to put food on the table and live in peace. Mitt Romney has answers for their problems.
I certainly haven't been everywhere nor have I seen everything. But I have been around quite a bit more than the average American or world traveler (not by my choice in many cases, I assure you). And I make these conclusions after much research, comparison, and consideration of everything I've learned and experienced.
Mitt Romney 1) knows the problems 2) has answers and 3) has the will and the ability to make the changes needed for immediate and positive progress.
The problem is, he's the only one who does, so if we don't pick him, we really won't get very far very fast with anybody else. That is, unless we get Hillary, but then, that is fast movement in the opposite direction.
~ Sincerely,
General Lee
