Plutarch's Weblog has a very interesting story analyzing the data about Huckabee's weight loss. Essentially, it says Huckabee's claim that he lost 110 lbs. in one year through diet and exercise is unlikely. Rather, the evidence indicates that Huckabee probably lost his weight through gastric bypass surgery. The evidence is compelling and when considered in the light that Huckabee's campaign won't make a definitive statement about whether he had the surgery, it seems increasingly likely.
This is a major problem because Huckabee has made a lot of money through book sales and dieting tours based on his testimonials of his personal experience losing 110 lbs. through diet and exercise only. If he had the surgery, his dieting campaign is a complete fraud. Since this information is certain to come up during a general election, Huckabee should be required to give the electorate the full story with definitive statements on the topic.
This blog certainly contains enough evidence to warrant an explanation from Huckabee.

Huckabee is such a lying machine I wouldn't doubt if he's lying about this.
You're right, he should come out with a definitive statement - or - some reporter should do more research. It's doubtful they'll get the doctors to talk - privacy issues and all.
But if he phaked his weight loss like he phaked his theology degree, his new immigration plan, his ... heck, I don't have time to list them all ... anyway, if this is a fraud, he is in big (no pun intended) trouble!
I happen to believe that Huck is telling the truth about his weight loss.
It would be very easy for him to come up with a document to prove it.
But man oh man. That would be so funny if he actually lost all that weight thanks to a gastric bypass surgery. It would become a permanent fixture in American culture. Imagine a trivial pursuit question: Which candidate for president in 2008 lied about losing weight through diet and exercise, but actually had gastric bypass surgery?
Daily show, Leno, Letterman, Colbert - all those guys would find it completely irresistible.
