I lived for years in Arizona, and don't know why McCain doesn't understand and defend our borders in a conservative manner.

The below video makes it clear that nominating McCain would take illegal immigration off the table as a Republican issue. A Democratic strategist says so.
In other words, John (co-author of the awful amnesty bill McCain-Kennedy) would have little different from Hillary to offer the American people this next fall should he win the GOP nomination. His lousy record on the topic leaves him with no credibility.

This is from May of this year when McCain's immigration bill was under enormously heavy fire. We thought that killed his campaign. That's why I don't understand why anyone has gone back to McCain in NY or elsewhere.
