HORSERACE, MITT ROMNEY, JOHN MCCAIN

Nobody Gets Buried Tonight.

On Fox News a few moments ago, Mort Kondrake made it sound as if Romney was toast if he didn’t win tonight, as it’s a closed primary, and he should have had the advantage in a race made up of only registered Republicans.

Nope.

If Romney (or McCain) end up losing by a point or two, there's no shame in that finish. It stinks for the silver medalist, as they don't get any delegates, but it's not like the voters rejected them.

Bill Hemmer says that the word from Team Romney is "hanging in there" in key regions, and "ready for a long night."
