McCain and Romney tied in actual early Florida votes--you can help

You would expect McCain to be well ahead in absentee balloting since he has had the lead for most of the time since South Carolina. However, according to SurveyUSA poll, McCain and Romney are tied leading the early votes with 30% each.

Each candidate has some advantages going into the last three days, and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top. I honestly believe that since Giuliani is not likely to win Florida, whoever wins there will pretty much have the spot locked up.

McCain has the advantage of a laughably biased press. And as much as I find it amusing to watch MSNBC work their "plausible deniability" magic of being biased without sounding TOO biased, it's a shame to acknowledge that the vast majority of people accept things they are told by the press at face value.

Romney has the advantage of winning the debate. There are several people in the press who had kisses and cuddles for McCain in regard to the debate, but most realize that everyone who saw it knows Romney won.

McCain has the advantage of Ron Paul supporters. Yes, you heard me right. They have nothing better to do than propel whatever idiotic scandal they can conjure up into online prominence, and they are doing it right now with silly accusations that Romney was cued during the debate. Let me tell you, Romney doesn't need someone to whisper "taxes" to him to realize taxes are relevant in a discussion of social security and fiscal policy. How stupid to these people think Romney is? And there's no way Romney could wax as articulate and eloquent as he did during the debate if his attention was split by listening to the voices in his head. It's ludicrous on so many levels, but good ol' Ron Paul's supporters love a conspiracy theory, and they're happy to ignore that the wannabe scandal plays to McCain's favor, not Ron Paul's. Memo to Paul supporters: who did Paul attack at the debate, McCain or Romney? So do your candidate a favor and direct your collective venom at McCain!

Romney has the advantage of being underestimated in the national media's characterization of the polls. Despite reports that he and McCain are neck in neck, Romney leads by a wide margin among Republicans, and Florida's primary is a closed one.

McCain has the advantage of having a couple late-breaking endorsements.

Romney has the advantage of Thompson dropping out and leaving Romney as the only conservative choice.

What will tip the balance? Well, I'm finally going to take some time to make some phone calls. If there's a balance to be tipped, it's going to be done by supporters like you and me. You'll be amazed at how short and easy it is to do this service to Romney (and service to your country, in my opinion!).
