I really liked this SOTU address tonight. I think it may have been because I was envisioning Mitt Romney and how he would be delivering the State of the Union next year. Especially when GWB was talking about vetoing Congress's out of control spending. Mitt Romney has made that same promise. And he'll keep it.
Guess who's not going to give the SOTU in 2009? The same guy who has been working against this Republican President's agenda, carrying a grudge since losing the nomination in 2000. The same guy who couldn't bear to take an hour out of his ambition fueled schedule tonight to be there and pay respect to our Commander-in-Chief. Heck even Obama and Hillary were there. But not John McCain. All the more reason that the GOP should not have him for our nominee.
A lot will depend on Florida tomorrow. If Mitt wins Florida, the nomination will be that much closer. The "Mitt-mentum" will be all the more powerful. And February 5, a primary day unlike any that you or I have ever seen, is going to be the day we lock it up.
I was making phone calls this evening and saw the meter of the tool that live-updates the total hours of talking all us volunteers have logged. It was going through the roof! We really have all been doing an amazing job there and also on the fundraising side. I hope you'll make one more extra sacrifice and put a few more dollars into our Florida Media Victory Fund. Tomorrow someone will catch that ad you sponsored and go to the polls voting for Mitt!!!
