These debates have really been awful. Tonight will probably be just as lame and boring.
So I have one bit of debate advice for John McCain, which may not turn the tables so much but it will definitely put Obama on the record regarding one very important question about the next 4 years.
"Barack? Can you tell the American people that if elected you will actually
govern these next 4 years, or will it be 4 years spent blaming Bush
for all the country's problems?"
If Obama can't answer the question to clearly indicate he's going to take responsibility for his administration and the country, undecided voters are going to have another strong piece of data that gives them serious doubts about Obama's ability to lead. If it's going to be 4 years of casting blame and not taking responsibility, who's going to vote for that? Seriously.
There's lots of other questions that need to be asked but the debate format is so awful, let's not waste an opportunity to get Obama on the record. Yes Wright, Ayers and ACORN are all just a few more issues that expose Obama's horrible judgement, but he's expecting those questions and will just dissemble and the media will keep covering for him.
I don't think he's expecting this one, and even if he is, it's going to be good for our country that Obama is on the record. He's spent this whole campaign blaming President Bush, we don't need that when Bush is no longer in office.

Excellent point. Well put, and just what we need to hear.
Problem is, that's all the Democrats have to stand on: "We're not them". They don't actually stand for anything themselves.
