Tedisco For Congress: Counting the Absentees

Tomorrow at the county board of election offices across the NY20 district they will start the process of counting the absentee ballots. While we're still waiting for the military and other overseas ballots to come in (less than 20% of the ballots mailed have had enough time to get back) the Judge overseeing the process has ordered that they start counting the ballots that have arrived now.

95% of the votes have been registered on mechanical "lever" voting machines which have served us great for many decades. Almost all the recanvassing has been completed, 2 counties apparently have still not finished validating their numbers but as of tonight the state BOE reports that Tedisco is ahead by 17 votes.

It is going to be a very intense process going thru the 5% or so of votes that remain. There are armies of lawyers that will be looking very closely at every ballot. The laws in NY are strict and we shouldn't have any of the issues like what happened in Minnesota. But it will be an expensive process. Thanks to everyone who's helped chip in to the Tedisco Ballot Integrity Fund. We've almost made our goal.

It's thanks to everyone's hard work that we're ahead at this stage of the process, and we are going to come out victorious when it's all over!
