McCain: Mitt Remains Important Figure in GOP


Sen. John McCain said Sunday:

I think the fact that Mitt Romney succeeded as much as he did and remains an important and central figure in our Republican Party -- and I wouldn't be surprised to see him run again -- is a testimony, I think, to the inclusiveness of the Republican Party.

Odd comment. Though perhaps just a function of the typical inarticulateness we have to put up with from our current crop of public servants - esp. our Republican "leaders". Nobody follows an uncertain trumpet. Romney/Rubio in 2010!!

Yes, well, I think he was trying to stick up for Mitt over the comments Michael Steele made suggesting the base rejected Mitt because of his religious faith. I also agree with your point on the "inarticulateness" of too many of our spokesmen.
