Not everyone is opposed to Gitmo!

Interesting story here: Gitmo Inmate Pleads for U.S. to Keep Him in Custody

Belbacha says that if he returns to Algeria, he faces the threat of torture by security services and murder by Islamist terrorists.

Zachary Katznelson, senior counsel with the human rights lawyers Reprieve and Belbacha’s lawyer, has asked the US courts to block any transfer.

Interestingly, this fellow is more worried about future violations of rights. What the bad guys back home might do to him would dwarf anything the sweet Americans would try to pull on him in prison. Finally, we've got a guy who sees us as the nice guys in all this.
